It's official . . . the tickets are purchased!

We're leaving for the Czech Republic on March 29 and will be spending two fabulous days in Prague before taking the train to Olomouc. You'll never believe what happened when I booked our accommodations in Prague--two free nights in the executive suite at The Hotel Charles, within steps of the Charles Bridge.

We have been to Prague before and LOVE it but wanted to stay in the city center near the castle and the Charles Bridge. The Hotel Charles was affordable and seemed nice enough and had a great location. Then I went to Trip Advisor and most of the reviews were positive except for 2 very recent reviews that were not. Quite honestly, it sounded like a big communication mix up. BUT, I decided to cancel the reservation and go elsewhere, saying it was because of bad reviews.

You'll never believe this, . . . the proprietor called me from Prague at 8 am the very next morning, asked us to stay on their dime in the executive suite, including breakfast, for the dates we had originally booked, and he would personally pick us up at the airport. I figure, what have we got to lose. So, that's how we got two free nights in Prague. And if it does work out, the hotel will get one fabulous Trip Advisor review from me and we'll have a go to place when we visit again.
